7 Ways to Create a Balanced Literacy Program for Your Students

I am always on the lookout for resources that will help me build a balanced literacy program. I work with students at a variety of levels, with a variety of deficits in a special education setting. 

This is what I found of interest:

  In one of my previous posts I listed website I utilize. Reading Rockets is one of these it lays out strategies/interventions for each of the five BIG AREAS of reading... phonological  awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension.  The strategies walk the teacher through strategies for each part of the reading process and HOW to use this strategy.
